So, you have made the decision to carry a concealed firearm
on a regular basis. There are so many important thing to consider. Willingness
to use deadly force, training, practice, and some consider Conceal Carry
Insurance. Typically, this is viewed as help fighting the possible legal battle
that is likely to come up as a result of, even a “good shoot”…..
But have you considered….The “OTHER” Conceal Carry Insurance
Have you considered the possibility that you just might lose
the gun fight? Me personally, I think most people think that carrying a gun is
going to ensure there safety and protection just because they have it. Kind of like a rabbit foot, only better. Then there are many of us that practice on a
regular basis, but just like in the old west movies, there is always the
possibility that the other guy is quicker.
So you have a 1.9 second draw and the bad guy has a 1.5 second draw and
his aim is true. Have you considered…. “what next?”
It does not matter if it s a
gunfight or heart attack, the truth is the same for all …it is
appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27 )
It does not matter how “good with a gun” you are or how
“good” you are in general, the truth is the same for all…. As
it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one (Romans 3:10 )
The same chapter of the Bible explains why none of us are righteous For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God; (Romans 3:23 )
And this truth is the same for all
It is “sin” that separates us from God. Separation, in the
sense that God can not allow sin in His presence. When it comes down to the end
of it all, separation from God is eternal and this truth is the same for all.
..And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is
the second death. (Revelation
20:14).
This eternal condemnation of sin is the very reason, God
allowed Jesus Christ to be put to death for you…. For the wages of
sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
(Romans 6:23 ).
The greatest truth of all times, is that God Loves You, and the
proof of his love is seen on the Cross of Calvary But God commendeth his
love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)
God loves us enough, that he let his only son die in our place,
just so we can put or faith and trust in the salvation from our sin that God
offers. That is the reason that this is the worlds most recognized verse of the
Bible For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John
3:16)
Have you ever heard the statement that a 45 on your
nightstand, does you no good while you are out on the streets? It could save your life if you have it in
your possession! Friend, Gods salvation is exactly the same. It does not serve
as any salvation for you, unless you have possession of it. To me this is what
explains it best……..
The fact that we don’t have righteousness, is our problem,
here is how we get it. …That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved. For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)…………
My thesis is this. It is our heart felt, trusting faith in
what Jesus Christ did on the Cross, and calling upon Him for salvation, which
gives eternal life.
Is this a decision that you have made? Have you ever prayed
something like this……
”God I know that I am a sinner, and that as such, I can
never go to Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ died on the Cross to pay for my
sins, and I humble accept your gift of salvation and eternal life” ……..
If not I
pray that you will.
